After several months of intensive work, the Chamber has launched its new web site complete with amazing new features, easier navigation, and more information. The web address remains the same at www.dyerchamber.com
"We have been working with Chris Donaldson with Tencom Technologies for several months to fine-tune the layout, content and training for this site," stated Chamber President/CEO, W. Allen Hester. "We are very excited about the project and know it will provide us with the tools we need to compete in economic development and membership services."
With the internet playing such a vital role in providing information, industrial prospects no longer take months to compile information from the communities of interest to them. The web site is the first place they look, and the information must be complete and up-to-date, or you could be eliminated before you even realize they are looking at your community.
New features for members are also one of the new highlights of the web site. "The new database we have incorporated with the web site will give numerous free features for our members," stated Paulie Ray, Director of Membership Services. "Members have the capability of using a log-in name and password to access their account to make changes, update information, add representatives and basically keep their online information up to date."
Members will also be able to add photos, logos, search words, and descriptive text to their information. In addition, job openings can also be submitted.
Another great feature to the database is the "Hot Deals" section. Members can fill out information for a special deal or promotion to run in this section of the web site. The Chamber will also be using the "Hot Deals" section during the "Shop Dyer County First" promotion during the holiday season. This will allow everyone with access to a computer to print off coupons for Chamber member businesses during the busy shopping season.
Members will receive a letter outlining the new features along with their user name and password, or they can contact Paulie at the Chamber to receive the information.
