Main Street Dyersburg is a volunteer based organization whose purpose is to encourage economic development through revitalization of the downtown based on the Four Point Approach as developed by the National Historic Preservation Trust. The Four Points include the process of enhancing the total community, through organization (encouraging cooperation and building leadership in the business community); promotion (creating a positive image for downtown by promoting the downtown as an exciting place to live, shop and invest); design (improving the appearance of the downtown); and economic restructuring to receive, administer and distribute funds in connection with any activities related to the above purposes. Main Street Dyersburg is composed of a Board of Directors and a full-time, paid Director of Downtown Development. These individuals develop, implement and monitor the progress of goals and objectives of the Main Street Program. Main Street Dyersburg is a comprehensive program, working with property and business owners, entrepreneurs, investors, developers and a host of partners to ensure success in the community. We focus on community revitalization through economic development and historic preservation.
